it's cold but i'm in florida so it will be warm again soon so i'll quit complaining. the cool weather does help the broccoli in the garden. here's the foodthat's growing right now: lettuces, arugula, broc and cauliflower, some kind of bean, little Italian beets and onions, carrots and spinach. the parsley loves this cool weather, too.
here's the salad of the year for me:
fresh arugula
thinly sliced sweet onion
shaved Asiago or Parmesan
fresh croutons if you have them
salt & pepper the salad with kosher salt
drizzle olive oil on greens
add seasoned rice wine vinegar (this one is sweeter and absolutely wonderful for oil & vinegar dressing)
toss and then eat the whole thing...
