Food Thoughts from the Indian River

dear Barbara ate some real fine food this week and because i hate the photos from the Fuji camera i refuse to post many images. but---i did pick up another device and it performs in a most excellent way. down at the river house we love to eat so i'll try out the new camera on:
-something with avocado
-a roast split chicken

-a risotto with Cinderella pumpkin

back to Barbara's Food: i brought her
-my new favorite appetizer:
-Asparagus Wrapped in Hot Capicola & Dill Havarti with a Smear of Hot Honey Mustard/Mayo
(recipe upon request)

-Spinach/ Baby Portabello/cheddar Quiche (i think quiche is a wonderful standby meal especially with an arugula salad backing it up.
)
this photo is not too bad...

so sister baby D calls on Christmas in confusion and laughing hysterically about what side was breast side up for her turkey...i think she was delirious because of her special Guest arriving and probably thought she had a ham and not a turkey....

J.C. got his second lesson in gravy making at the House of the Pink Pillars and damn he's a good assistant...giving miss Bubbles a run for her money just by knowing when to do whatever i say without me saying it... that's what i call anticipation.
